Cat In The Box

So I think it's pretty clear at this point that Calvin loves paper and things made of paper. Well he loves it when we play board games because he gets to sleep in the box lid. Sometimes we can't open the box fast enough because the second the box lid is open, he's climbing in.

Some boxes are better than others, but no matter what the size he will jam himself in.

And eventually he'll make himself comfortable.

And we also have to be a little bit careful because he loves to chew on the dice. Yahtzee is his favorite game ever.

Just in case you don't believe me, here are a few more photos. Proof that Calvin loves boxes, and that we play a lot of board games.

Cat Bed

So I have recently gotten into knitting and I bought a book called Kitty Knits. It has all of these great projects for cats and people. I made this cat bed, it's the first thing I have knitted that isn't a scarf.

This is what it looked like after I washed it to "felt" it.

The second it was ready, I put it on the floor and Calvin claimed it.
I did actually make it with Calvin in mind since he loves it when I knit and he doesn't get to use the cat tree very often. But Hobbes also took an interest in it.

A lot of interest. Here Calvin is saying "No Hobbes, that's not how you do it. It's for sleeping in".

Hobbes doesn't get it. But at least he's having a good time, I think.
Here is a video of how Hobbes went from on top of to underneath the cat bed.

Dirty Laundry

We came back from a trip and threw our bedding in a wad on the floor in front of the laundry machine. We figured if it sat there long enough, it would eventually make it's way into the machine and become clean.

Wait a second, there's something in that laundry! It moved, I saw it!

Yep, I was right. There is a cat in this laundry. A Hobbes cat, and he isn't going anywhere. Guess that laundry will be sitting around for awhile longer. Darn. Too bad.

2 Cats On The Tree!

That's what you have to say when this happens.

It's a very rare occurance and this is the first time it has ever been captured on film.
In fact, this may be the very first time 2 Cats On The Tree happened without me sticking them both up there because Hobbes HATES SHARING THE TREE.
Calvin can be napping on there and Hobbes will jump up and bite him on the head until poor Calvin falls off. It's very sad. Calvin sleeps with one eye open on the tree.

But the other day we caught them both on the tree, no biting, no scratching. Amazing! I had to take a picture. Then I had to turn them black and white because the color was so awful.
